  How to Recharge through the ATMs
 
The transaction flow for refilling your prepaid mobile card through ATMs is as under:
1. Insert your card in the ATM and enter the Pin no.
2.
Select ‘Mobile Recharge / Bill Pay’ from the main menu. (For some banks, this service is listed under Other Services)
3.
Select ‘Mobile Recharge/ Mobile Top-Up/ Mobile Refill’ from the next menu.
4.
Enter your correct prepaid mobile number in the next screen and select submit.
5.
In the next screen, select the amount you want to refill in your prepaid card. You can choose any amount (the min and max amount varies depending on the operator). In the case of some banks, there are a fixed set of denominations given, with another option for entering a variable amount. Customer can either choose the fixed amount or enter any amount of his/ her choice
6. The account selected by you would be debited towards the transaction amount.

The next screen will confirm that your mobile recharge has been successful and will prompt you to check your balance talktime available. In case the recharge is not successful due to any reason, the reason is displayed and the amount of recharge is automatically reversed to the account.
8. Please check the balance talktime available on your prepaid mobile card after you have completed the transaction.

How to Recharge through SMS
A one-time registration needs to be done at any of the member bank ATMs to avail of the SMS recharge facility. The transaction flow for refilling talk-time through SMS is as under:
1. Insert your ATM card in the ATM and enter the Pin no.
2.
Select ‘Mobile Recharge’ from the main menu (for some banks this is available under Other Services)
3.
Select ‘Mobile Recharge’ from the next menu.

The next menu will have the option for registration. Select the option for registration
5.
Enter your correct prepaid mobile number in the next screen and select submit. This number would be stored permanently for all recharge transactions through SMS.
6. The next screen will confirm that your registration has been completed.
7. After successful completion of the registration process, you will receive a SMS advising you of your 4-digit access code from the mobile operator.
8. After receiving the access code, you can recharge your prepaid mobile from anywhere by sending a simple SMS to the mobile operator.
9. Your bank account would get debited for the requested amount and mobile top-up completed with the appropriate talk-time.

After transaction is successful, the mobile operator would send a confirmation SMS to your mobile phone indicating that the recharge was successful. You will also see the balance talk time available in this message.

In case the transaction fails, the appropriate SMS is sent to the customer. However, the amount which was debited from the account is not credited back immediately. The credit takes places in an offline mode within 3-4 working days (except in the case of SBI where the time taken may be much more due to a de-centralized process of crediting back the customer’s account.
Please note that the access code for mobile refill is different from the Pin for operating your card for normal ATM transactions.
The format for sending the SMS is as follows:

Recharge through Internet Banking
1. Logon to the bank's Internet Banking section, using your login id and password, which is issued by the bank.
2. Select the option for prepaid recharge. This option can either be a part of the Bill Pay services or a stand alone facility, as per the decision of the bank.
3. Choose the operator and the circle, whose mobile no. you wish to recharge.
4. Enter any flexible amount between the given limits. There would be built in validations for ensuring that the amount entered is within the minimum and maximum values for that operator.
5. Click on the Confirm/ Submit button to confirm the transaction. Depending on the bank, you might also be required to confirm the transaction using a transaction password.
6. Your account is debited and mobile is recharged for the selected amount (net of processing fees and taxes)
7. You will get the appropriate message on the bank site as well as a SMS, confirming the status of your transaction.
8. In case the transaction could not be successful, due to any reason, your account would be credited back in 3-4 working days.
